Adobe flash-plugin

Asked by davidzaq1

Hello,

I have been having an issue with the Adobe Flash-Plugin on Ubuntu 16.04. When I go to a web page, Firefox says it has blocked something because the flash plug-n is out of date. It asks me to update and so I click on update and it takes me to the Adobe page.
I have updated Flash through their site but still have the problems. Now when I click on update, I receive a message that I have the latest version of flash but I am still getting the outdated messages on Firefox.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thank you

Even with the latest version of Flash, Firefox disables it by default (to provide greater security) and replaces it with the text "Activate Adobe Flash" which you have to click on to enable Flash. You can change this by selecting "Add-ons" from the Tools menu and changing the setting next to "Shockwave Flash" from "Ask to Activate" to "Always Activate" or "Never Activate".
