Ubuntu Progress Bar

Hi friends,,,,
i would like to customize the progress bar which appears once the computer is started.It shows the progress in the loading ubuntu.Here i would like to chang the title'ubuntu' and would like to change the color and pattern of the progress bar from orange to anyother color.....Is It possible....(pls keep in mind that...i`m an ameture as far as Linux is Concerned...)
