Mi maquina esta lenta

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

Tengo un amd x 2 64 bit 3800 2 gb de memoria, la maquina se pone cada vez mas lenta y a veces, cuando reinicio, no prende, muestra usuario y contraseña y luego nada... Que debo hacer???

¿Podrias hacer un top en la Terminal?

Aplicaciones-> Terminal-> ejecutas "top"

mira a ver que procesos están arriba del todo (que serán los que están utilizando la máquina).

Hola garyfc. Osea que tu makian se ha vuelto lenta? O era lenta desde el principio?

Hay una manera simple de tratar de volverlo lenta. Des-instalar paquetes (programas) no necesarios, eliminar alguanos programas o servicios que inician automáticamente.

La primera es facil. Solo anda a Gestor de Paquetes Synaptic y des-instala programas que tu mismo has instalado y que no lo necesites.

Ahora, debes de eliminar residuos que quedaron, esos generalmente son paquetes deb que el gestor Synaptic ha bajado antes de instalar. Y para no demorar a instalar cuando estas re-instalando, esta guardado en el disco duro.

1) Entra a Synaptic
2) Opciones/Preferencias
3) Ir al fichero o tab llamado "Archivos"
4) Click en "Eliminar Paquetes de Archivo Cache"
