shutdown GUI

On my Linux 8.04LTS the shtdown, hibernate etc show as GUI, in 8.10 iy is words only. How do I install GUI for these activities in Linux 8.10

Add the shutdown panel to your taskbar.

Right click on your panel, go add, then find shutdown in the list.
