A packaged version is now available for Ubuntu 9.04 (unstable future version) https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/arpon/1.90-1 . This will probably not work on your current 8.10 release, unfortunately. The Debian package (http://packages.debian.org/sid/arpon) has the same version number so it's highly unlikely to work with your system.

You will probably have to compile it yourself.

./configure
make
make install

I downloaded and installed it but i think it doesn't have any graphical interface so i run it by the terminal but there are two modes to run it (Task mode-logging mode) which mode i supposed to chose and how can i stop it?
