Floating point exception error on Firefox and Epaphany.

I added Ubuntu 8.10 to my laptop yesterday and I get firefox and epitphany crashes with a floating point error in my terminal window. I am new to ubuntu and read the tech help page, yet I still have crashes. Can anyone help?

Please file this issue as a bug on Launchpad please rather than as a general question.

Please supply as much information as possible and any error outputs you are getting.
