Tim,
Is it just for sharing files? Or What ?

Get my internet from my desktop to my laptop , you need a wifi router or a modem with USB and LAN support or u need a Ethernet splitter.

Th3Tim,

you mentioned your desktop was connected to your internet router/gateway via a wireless connection. doesnt your laptop also have a wireless adaptor you could hook up directly instead of trying to piggyback it off of your desktop? (either way would work by the way, but its easier to just have each pc directly connected to the router)

Can you help with this problem?
