freeipa-client missing services in sssd, conf after installation

Asked by Philippe Clérié

zesty/freeipa-client
joining xenial/freeipa server

After running ipa-client-install, sssd is missing the nss and pam services. Manually adding them completed the installation.

Similarly, ipa-client-automount did not insert the automount line in /etc/nsswitch.conf. Once it was added manually, autofs worked as expected.

It's unclear why these edits were not made since apparently everything else was correctly configured.

Also, nfs-imapd does not apparently start but my nfs mounts appear to work normally.

These issues don't seem to qualify as bugs but I'm still concerned that I may have missed something that will bite back and I won't even begin to know where to look.

Regards
Philippe
