Can ubuntu download from FreeMusic Downloads?

Asked by david buckingham

I have to sign up (and pay) for access to FreeMusic Downloads without knowing for sure that it will work. I paid for itunes, and it does not work with ubuntu.

Today I saw an article in the guardian recommending a new souce, Spotify.com. Absolutely free, legal, and millions of tracks without charge. Used their guide for loading to ubuntu and it worked a treat (only windows and mac usually). Temporary registration link at tinyurl.com/spotifylink for UK users.
