Did you try to create a new user and log in to ensure your profile is OK?

Please press ctrl+alt+"+" and ctrl+alt+"-" to chenge video resolution... then try also ctrl + alt + bkspace to restart your graphic layer...

If this doesn't solve then try to gain pseudo terminal access.. press ctrl+alt+f2 make login with your user and password then type:

sudo aptget update

(when the system ask you a password give your user password, you will not see nothing when you type it, then press enter)

Tthen type:

sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

then type

sudo reboot

Hope this solve your issue
