The latest version of Ubuntu is 7.04.

The difference between the two is that Ubuntu 6.06 is supported for 3 years on the desktop and 5 years on the server, thus being tagged as "LTS" while Ubuntu 7.04 is a regular Ubuntu release supported for 18 months.

Hi Jerome,

Thanks. So they are pretty much the same release. It just has to do
with the support package if you buy it?

They are not the same release. One came out in June 2006 (Dapper - 6.06 LTS), the other came out this month - April 2007 (Feisty - 7.04). As a result Feisty has lots of newer applications and drivers. Both are fully supported in terms of security fixes and updates. It's just that Dapper is supported for longer. When we talk about "supported" we are not talking about paid support, just the availability of fixes and updates to the operating system and the installed applications over the lifetime of the product.
