Cant send large mails or mails with attachment

Asked by dighill

I am not able to send large mails or mails with attachment. Have tried both evolution and thunderbird, but it seems like there is no difference. I'm using one.com as incoming mail server, and customer-smtp.one.com as outgoing mail server. There are no problems with sending short mails like "test" and similar, but when I write some sentences the sending process either stops at a certain percent, or it does not seem like it's sending at all... Any clues? I'm new to ubuntu. Receiving mail works fine.

Also could you run evolution from a command line so that you could post back some of the error messages thrown up into the terminal window?

Applications menu on the top taskbar - Accessories - Terminal
Into the terminal/command window/console just type
evolution

That should start it up fine :)

Good luck with this

If you are still having trouble with this then please post it as a new question. Only the most recent questions tend to get looked at so posting/reposting a question just before america arrives online gives the best chance of getting a good few answers.
