Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit install stuck on busybox
Ok, I just built a new system. I got my windows vista 32-bit to run on one partion. Now I want to install ubuntu 8.10 second so I can use grub to choose which to boot from on startup (ubuntu is also way better). I am installing the 64-bit ubuntu (I have amd cpu) but when I do it seems to get stuck on a screen with busybox and somthing about initram. I tried the 32-bit version I used to install the one on my laptop but I got the same thing with that on my new system.
some specs:
AMD Phenom x4 9500 2.20GHz
OCZ 800MHz 2048 x2
WD 640GB HDD
2 x XFX 9600 GSO 768 GDDR2 ~SLI~
Please help I don't know what I'll do if I have to be stuck using vista all the time!!!
