I need to find drivers for my Sony HDRTG1 Digital Camcorder and my Nikon D90 camera? Any suggestions where to find?

you normally dont need any drivers to install in ubuntu for usb based peripherals like your cam or flash drive.
ubuntu 8.10 is plug n play kind of operating system.
just plug any thing and it will run.
even if it needs something then it will ask you.

try pluging in your cams and checking if they are mounted or visible or not.
its not a big deal. dont worry
