Ineternet compatibilty with Ubuntu

Asked by Yesenia

Please tell me what internet service I could use with Ubuntu. I purchased a Dell Mini and I am trying to access the internet. I purchased a Cricket Broadband, but unfortunately was unsuccessful in doing so. I spoke with tech support over at Dell and was on hold for 2 hours to only find out that I need to switch operating systems to Windows in order to use the Cricket Broadband. Please HELP!

you know something? its not dell's mistake to suggest you or rather force you to use windows.
microsoft pays every company and maintains pressure on them to sell microsoft products.
let me make it clear to you, that you dont need to shift to windows again. no need to do so. ever.
ubuntu provides everything that microsoft cant even think of even making.

specify wht type of internet device you want to use and you will get the solution.
dont worry.

open the network manager (System > Administration > Network)
This allows you to connect to any available wireless network in range.

   1. In the Taskbar click the Network Manager icon.
   2. Select your wireless network from the list.
   3. Enter your Network Key.
   4. Click Connect.

enjoy
