ubuntu 7.04 install isssues

Asked by JohnP

problems getting 7.04 (feisty?) to install. IDE HDD on VT6410 IDE RAID controller using a giabyte GA-8A915Duopro Motherboard Intel 775, 7.04 seems to install but asks for a username and anything i type is rejected. Wondering if Ubuntu is not detecting HDD / IDE controller and thus is using a thin client version? (only reason i can think why it would do that unless its a weird glitch) If needed where I can find a VT6410 driver for ubuntu? (im new to launchpad so forgive me if im going about this the wrong way) thnx

If i remember right, the same thing that happened to you has happened to a my friend installing edgy (6.10).

Can you help with this problem?
