Creative Zen won't work

Asked by Zileto

No matter what I do I can't get my Zen software to work. I tried running it through Wine first- didn't work. I'm not sure why. I then followed these instructions- http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=199250&highlight=CREATIVE+ZEN+vision+m+gnomad. I tried both methods, neither worked. I'm quite out of my depth here. I'm running Intrepid.

That are often two modes... MTP and UMS/MSC

You might want to change it to MSC then it will just be seen as a USB device.

How do I do that?

It is usually a setting on the player.

"This means that music and other media stored on the SD card, which uses MSC mode, can't be integrated with your core media collection. To Creative's credit, they made it very easy to switch to MSC mode -- you simply use a top-level menu option"

Can you help with this problem?
