WIFI stuck on requesting network address then disconnects

Asked by Onur

Hi, I just installed ubuntu 8.1 and i can't seem to get the wifi working at all. It's running on a compaq evo d510 smf, p4 2gh. I am also running XP pro sp2 and wifi works perfectly on that. I have done some commands and i hope that helps to figure out the problem, here they are...

You might want to try using the madwifi tools:

sudo apt-get install madwifi-tools
