webcam msn

I want to be able to run my Webcam more than my msn,

but i was wondering how do i get it to work.

Then, how can i put MSN messenger on my 8.04 too.

go to the package manager an type in the search ( xawtv ) look at all that come up
is 1 for the v4l2 to vl41 try that

im on 710 an i loaded all but that 1 im up an on line with my cam id 046d:0920
it works in camorama cheese an xawtv
( lsusb) will show the cam id

System > Administration > Synaptic
or
Applications > Add/Remove...
