i assume that the game installer must be in .deb
if not thn you can convert it in deb by using alien
install it thn
you can also search the file system folder for the game and double click on it to start.
or you can see the exact name and type it in terminal.

as far as dual boot is concerned, you can press esc at the boot time and select the os
or you can edit the grub menu.lst if you cant see the os of your choice.

you can search all the installed programs in:
/usr/share/applications

search for your game here

Thanks Mak.
I managed find the folder but it only in read only mode which unable me to create a ROMS folder for me to place games into it. I even tried to edit the MAME.ini which i also failed.

I read from the forum that file system is locked for security reason.
Is there any way to go around on this issue?

Thanks again.

dont modify anything
you just want to play the game so type the exact name in terminal or click the icon from that programs folder.
you can even create a shortcut and paste it on desktop.
wow its so easy now.

Hi Mark,
Thanks again for your info.

Acuatually, I able to run the program but it doesnt contain any games (rom) in the folder.

In the Mame.ini, there is a line that point to here:
rompath $HOME/.mame/roms;/usr/local/share/games/sdlmame/roms

Which in this folder I unable to do anything, I would like to change this path for somewhere else but the file is locked.

How can I able to change to edit mood?

Thanks,
Eric

i hope i was at your computer to solve the problem
anyways. you can edit any locked file if you are the root or simply saying ir the pc thinks tht you are the owner

for that type in terminal:

sudo su
enter your password

then type:

gedit (followed by the full path of the file you want to edit)

or change the cursor by using :
cd /home/knjn etc and then :
gedit filename

if you still have problems feel free to ask
