8.10 download does not boot from CD

Asked by scottamead84

Downloaded 8.10 iso and had to manually extract with 7-zip. No computer will boot from disc (created with Nero). Need to eliminate iso - too complicated. Just make all the files available.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs .

It sounds like you didn't burn the CD correctly, directions can be found at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto
If you still have problem, make sure you check the md5sum against the correct hash, available on the UbuntuHashes page linked from the above webpage.

Can you help with this problem?
