This is not a webcam at all but a plain old (no offence intended) digital camera. You will need a programme that will manage your photos such as F-Spot Photo Manager. It should be already installed under Applications, Graphics. If it is not, then access Add/Remove (via Applications) and install it from there.
That will identify your camera when it is plugged in.

Andre i realise its a plain old (no offennce taken ) digital camera, but if i can get it to work in windows with yahoo messenger why cant i get it to work in Ubuntu. Its like baking a cake if you dont have the ingredients, no cake.

Well I have a standard USB WebCam that I can't get to work on Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) and so far that I know of, the system detects my camera, it just won't allow me to use it. What's going on? Can someone instruct me on how to get it working? Any help is appreciated.

john, this post has been marked as "Solved" by ian and is therefore closed. You will have to ask your question as a "new" question, adding it to someone else's question will not get you a reply.
