Having trouble installing windows App with wine

Hello,

I am using 8.10 Gnome and I have installed wine. However I cannot seem to get an application installed.
I tried recommendations but I get an error when the .exe file launches

Unable to find volume for file extraction
Please verify that you have the proper permissions.

 I am trying to install IE 7

If you really need to run IE :-( on Ubuntu try http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/page/Installation
or better install Windows (so you have also ie-explorer, closed into a virtual pc) using a virtual pc provided by the Virtualbox

On Ubuntu you need to install the Virtualbox package (it is into Ubuntu repositories) http://www.virtualbox.org/

Sorry for the delay,

after further review of the obstacles I have chosen not to pursue the issue any longer thank a lot!
