You have an alternative, pidgin:
Applications > Internet > Pidgin > Accounts > Manage Accounts > Add > "Protocol: AIM" and fill out your details :)

Yes,Pidgin Is wonderful piece of software,which u can use it as a messenger for most of the instant messengers like yahoo,aim,gtalk,etc...

I know that pidgin works but not with my webcam, that why i want to use Aim
