how to have different wallpaper desktop

I want to have different wallpaper on my two desktop
But don't work.

I do a right click on desktop to change wallpaper and after i do same think for my second desktop but i had the same wallpaper on my two desktop.

ubuntu / gnome in particular does not have this feature, you can over come it by using gimp and resizing the 2 images to the size of your monitors and then joining them together into one big picture.

so if you had a 1280x1024 and a 1024x768 monitor you would create an image 2304 x 1024
and for a 1280x1024 and a second 1280x1024 create an image that is 2560x1024.

then paste your two pictures into the larger image next to each other.

The other alternative is to try and find a graphical replacement like wallpapoz but i have not tried these myself, so dont know if they work well or at all.
