i need camorama to work

or in xsane is the only 2 that wont open my cam
had it working in 710
now im on 810
on the wed it try's to open as( quckcam express v4l2 ) i need v4l1

Try using cheese rather than camorama. Camorama wouldnt work on my new laptop but cheese seems to work fine.

i went back to 710
loaded camorama, cheese and xawtv
loaded all the packages that go with them
in the package manager
im back up an on the web
i did see a package for the v4l2 as i was loading xawtv
i did not load it
may have been what i need in the first place ( on 810 )
