Microfon geht nicht mehr

Irgendwie geht mein Micro seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr. In Windows läuft es ohne Probleme.
Auch die Einstellungen im Mixer habe ich bereits alle durch probiert. Faszinierend ist dass ich mich über Kopfhörer höre wenn ich "Aufnahme" aktiviere.

Vielen Dank für diese Frage.

Ich glaube das dies noch ein Fehler in Feisty ist, daß man tatsächlich Aufnahme aktivieren muss, um das Mikrofon zu benutzen.

Ich hoffe, dass dies hilft.

Das könnte noch hinzukommen, was ich aber eigetnlich meinte, war dass ich das ein- und ausschalten kann, und somit die Kartensteuerung funktioniert. Das Mikro nimmt trotzdem weiterhin nicht auf. Früher ging es. Seit einiger Zeit geht es nicht mehr.

Hi! Sieht so aus als hättest Du eine SoundBlaster Live! oder Audigy. Die Karte hat viele Einstellmöglichkeiten und ist deshalb leider etwas kompliziert handzuhaben. In einem älteren System habe ich die SoundBlaster Live! eingebaut und das Mikro zum Laufen bekommen.

Gehen wir Schritt für Schritt vor, ich gehe dabei davon aus dass die obigen Einstellungen noch aktuell sind:
1) Starte "alsamixer" im Terminal
2) Deaktiviere das Mikrofon-Playback. Navigiere hierzu zu "Mic" und drücke [M].
3) Wechsle in den Capture-Modus, drücke hierzu [F4].
4) Bei "Mic" sollte bereits in rot "CAPTUR" stehen, wenn nicht drücke die Leertaste.
5) Die Aufnahmelautstärke stellst du über das Control "Capture" ein, das sollte bereits auf 100 stehen.
6) Gehe zu "AC97" und stelle die Lautstärke auf 100.

Das Mikro sollte jetzt aufnehmen und du solltest dich dabei nicht selbst hören. Testen kannst du das mit
$ cat /dev/dsp > /dev/dsp
(vorher musst du möglicherweise alle Audio-Programme beenden, auch den Soundserver).

Danke Dir. Der Punkt 6) war es. Aber warum? Ich dachte immer AC97 wäre die onboard-Karte. Ich jedoch verwenden eine Sound Blaster 5.1 PCI.

AC97 ist wohl so eine Art Standard für Soundkarten. Warum bei der SB die Aufnahmekomponente so bezeichnet wird weiß ich leider nicht. Naja, hauptsache es geht :-).
ALSA trennt übrigens mehrere Soundkarten strikt voneinander. Die Lautstärkeregler der OnBoard-Soundkarte siehst du, wenn du
$ alsamixer -c 1
aufrufst (sofern die Karte erkannt wurde).
