Ubuntu Not running on my PC

I have AMD Phenon Tricore 2.1 Ghz processor....
2 GB RAM
250 GB HDD

I requested a free ubuntu CD...& got it timely..but the problem is when i click on "try ubuntu without any change to my computer"...screen flickers once and cursor then starts blinking at the top left corner of the screen..
then just wait & wait & wait.......nothing happens...!!
Even when i installed "ubuntu in windows"...same thing happens & ubuntu don't get started..
wat to do???
Plz help.....

you can use wubi windows ubuntu installer and this will run inside windows so there should not be a problem it will download almost 700 Mb of data same what you have on cd so if you have a working internet connection you can use this WUBI software.
