Where is the button "Report kernel panic?"

Asked by Gerd Pommerenke

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on Dell Inspiron 1110 using USB WLAN-stick Realtek RTL8188CUS (edimax EW-7811Un 802.11n)
Kernel 4.4.0-53-generic worked well
After update to 4.4.0-66-generic I get a kernel panic (100% reproducable) starting with the plugged stick.
Starting with unplugged stick the system starts well but I have no WLAN then. The built-in Broadcom BCM4312 shows "Outside reception range". When I plug the USB-stick later, the system freezes.

Where can I post the photo of the kernel panic? It's on https://www.dropbox.com/s/y72mkzrzec6iwl0/IMG_0448.JPG?dl=0
There is nothing in the logs.

Sorry, there is no other way to report such an error.

Run:

ubuntu-bug linux-image-generic

You can always uninstall the problematic kernel then use apt-pinning to stop the package being updated

Probably bug #1666421 (see there for details and a patched 4.4.0-64 version of the kernel)
For the time being you can only boot an older kernel from the grub menu.

This solved my problem for the time being. I hope the bug will be eliminated with the next kernel version.

The 4.4.0-70 version of the kernel has been published in xenial-updates and xenial-security.
Updating your system to that version should solve the problem.

Sorry, just re-checked with the bug reports, and 4.4.0-70 apparently does not solve the problem.
