Pdf compressor software in Ubuntu

Do you know a ".pdf files" compressor software for Ubuntu?

I use one, but this is a non-free and need Wine to work.

Can't you use OpenOffice.org ? It has a built-in "Print to .pdf" function right?

The software are "pdf shrink", I use NicePdf compressor for Windows (with Wine in Ubuntu)
A free replacement to this type of apps?

Maybe the command line programs pdftk and qpdf can do what you want.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=807110 is about a GUI for pdftk.
