In archive.ubuntu.com are only the active Releases, Feisty is older and now Unsupported, use the:

deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty main restricted universe multiverse

my suggestion is : Update your system

Actually i too had the same problem. Now a related question. When you want to upgrade from feisty to gutsy when you use one of the main servers, upgrade fails. The update manager seems to report an error with regard to downloading feisty main package information which is not available in the main server as you had pointed out. Does that mean i cannot upgrade from feisty to gutsy without aboth packages being in the same repository?

Hello! I had read that Linux doesn't care about how old is your machine, and how few memory it has, or how small is your HD, so I think, that old machines has right to be working at this time, and we have to save our planet of contamination and pc trash. Why to change the pc if it works? (I hope to be clean because my english is a bit poor) Bye.
