System Hangs

My System hangs completely when i install Ubuntu 8.04 on physical hard disk but works very fine when I install it from the same source in vm ware

When I install ubuntu 8.04 on my pc my whole system kind of over load and hangs. I even tried running from the cd. My system is Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHZ, 1.5GB RAM and 120GB hard disk. But when i tried running the same cd from VM ware it worked quite fine.

i fyou have windows is bettet that you kake a partition ext3 with partition magic.

or you can to make the partition with the ubuntu cd.
you hardware is ok, ubunto wil staaaart very well in your pc
