Download manager needed which can resume downloads

Asked by passionguy

I tried the following link using XDownloader http://download.oracle.com/otn/linux/oracle10g/10201/10201_database_linux32.zip & got the error message "Socket not Available".

I also tried Aries but the buttons are empty. There is no wordings in the windows. I can see only boxes.

I couldnt use the download manager available in Firefox since it cannot resume the download. I tried others like gwget, flashgot etc but it says file not found. I believe that they dont have authentication support. Thats y i tried XDownloader & Aries.

I need ur help friends.....

there is a very good download manager plug in for firefox called DownThemAll (down them all) and use deluge or ktorrent or qbittorrent for torrent files

configure the downThemall as per your choice it can do batch downloading and things you can think of.
hope it serves your purpose
cheers
