Sorry for not understanding you. I will ask you to state your questions with greater clarity next time.

By the way, a little bit of info:

There are 800 viruses for Ubuntu vs. 1000000 for Windows. Of these 800, all have been erradicated from Ubuntu thanks to security updates. So you are more than safe using Ubuntu with no anti-virus.

Although you might not need it, you may still want an anti-virus. Clamav is a very good one. Get Clamav from:

Applications => Add / Remove .

While many people believe Ubuntu is a more secure platform, the truth of the matter is, there is no comparision between Windows and Ubuntu regaurding viruses because it's almost impossible for a virus to spread on Ubuntu Desktops.

The reason viruses can't spread on Ubuntu isn't that Ubuntu is more secure (I think it is more secure), but because there are simply not enough Ubuntu desktop machines to propagate the virus.

If you make a virus for Ubuntu and try to infect 1000 machines, you will only infect 40 machines. Meanwhile the other 960 will be waste your viruses time. On the other hand, if you write a virus for Windows and launch it at 1000 machines, you'll infect 800 machines, and your virus will spread like Ebola.

Someday in the future Ubuntu may indeed hold 50%+ of the market share, and we will get to see just how much more secure it is. Until then, enjoy life free of viruses and spyware because you won't get them on Ubuntu.

Can you help with this problem?
