if you have windows in your computer, you can download partitionmagic ady make a ext3 partition and install here ubuntu.

other way is make the partition with ubuntu aplications, inside cd install ubuntu.

in eglish

you can boot your sistem from a ubuntu livecd, and recovery your files and save them in a floppy usb, is ver easy.
