Belkin F8T012xx1 Bluetooth Dongle

Asked by NakiMum

I've got a Belkin F8T012xx1 Bluetooth Dongle and once again the installation cd is only compatible with Windows (what's new?). I would like some help in trying to install it.
I've tried running it with Wine, it installs but doesn't work as an application - some or other error.
Please help.

Hi the icon is there, but the dongle isn't recognised. I'll try the others and see what happens. Thanks anyway.

Hi,

Please try the suggestions here:

http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-359275.html
https://wiki.edubuntu.org/Belkin_F8T012xx1_USB_Adapter

They recommend adding the following line to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

blacklist pegasus

However, this workaround probably requires you to first install Ubuntu 8.04, because I saw on another forum that the "blacklist pegasus" trick might not work on Ubuntu 8.10 anymore.

Regards,

Mark

I there - sorry no luck. But I'm going to mark this solved until we can get it sorted out. I just use the memory cards and the memory-card adapter. It's alot easier, no broken connections, etc.
Thanks anyway guys.
