ar5523 & WPA on Feisty

Asked by Kampua

I installed Feisty Fawn and get my usb wireless wifi (Engenius EUB-862, using atheros chipset ar5523) working by using ndiswrapper and connected to an open wireless network without any problem. However, I have no success connecting to a WPA network. Network Manager wil freeze my computer and Wicd will try to resolve my IP for some time and ended with no success. I had checked my password and it is correct. Any idea?

I found the problem, I changed the WPA Supplicant Driver under Wicd preference to 'ndiswrapper' instead of the original 'wext', after changing it back it works alright. But the usb wifi adapter need to be disconnected and then reconnected again when I do a 'warm' restart. Had not try network-manager again...
