Touch pad

Sono un neofita per UBUNTU.
Il sistema non riconosce il Touch Pad del mio Note book HP 510 nuovo .

Per capire se il tuo touch pad funziona ho bisogno di vedere il contenuto del file

per fare ciò da shell digita il seguente comando

:$ gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Il file è corretto, è identico al mio che utilizzo un HP dv1000.
Solo che in rete ho trovato diversi post che parlano di questo problema. Sto ancora documentandomi.

Intanto grazie :
Nella cartella/dev/dri ho solo un file Card0 che non si apre con nessuna applicazione-
Ho dedottto di non possedere il driver per far funzionare il Tochpad
Ho scaricato il file synaptics-0.14.6 che penso sia quello mancante.
Che cosa devo fare ora ?

Devo trovare ancora un sistema semplice, perché le guide che ho trovato richiedono la ricompilazione del Kernel, dammi ancora tempo.
