want to install ubuntu 8.10 on thinkpad t61 vista 64 bit

I have a new laptop coming (Thinkpad t61, 4gb) with Vista 64 on it and want to dual boot Ubuntu 8.10 desktop. Has anyone got advice to anything that may occur during installation that may be a problem? I have dual boot XP/Ubuntu on my thinkpad now and it was no problem but I noticed lots of postings concerning the type of partitioning that Vista 64 is installed on.

I started using wubi (http://wubi-installer.org)with Ubuntu 8.04 and I never looked back. Give it a try!
