Does this card show up in Network Manager? That is if you click on Network Manager do you see the Intel wi-fi card as one of the interfaces?

Have you thought about contacting Intel about a Linux driver specifically or what generic driver would work with your card?

Hi selahaddin,

Please try the procedure here:

http://linuxtechie.wordpress.com/2008/04/24/making-intel-wireless-3945abg-work-better-on-ubuntu-hardy/

If that does not work, then please test your wireless connection using the Ubuntu 8.10 livecd (boot from the 8.10 liveCD, but do not install it yet).

If that does not help, please do the following:

Step 1: Open Terminal from "Applications->Accessories->Terminal"

Step 2: Run the following commands (type each then hit <enter>)

nm-tool
iwconfig
ping -c 4 google.com
ifconfig
netstat -r
sudo lshw -C network
lspci

Step 3: Post results (cut/paste terminal output from each command) here

Regards,

Mark
