How to activate the "Guest" user feature in Intrepid

Asked by Cobra

I recently installed 8.10. When I click on the Logoff button to switch to the "Guest" user mod I get a blank screen, and the system locks up. I have to rebook the PC to get back.

What do I need to do to use this new feature?

Thanks

Cobra

When you are logged in, right click on one of your panels and select 'Add to Panel' from the menu that appears.

Then in the new window, type 'user' in to the text entry and then in the list find 'User Switcher' and click on it, then click the add button and close the window.

When you want to use the Guest account, click on the newly added element to your panel and form the menu that appears, select 'Guest' (the newly added element should shave your Name and then a 'quit' icon next to it).

About the locking up when logging out, I seem to have this to, but the only knwledge i have of it, is when I disable the NVIDIA driver, it stops happening for me.

Hope this Helps
