Gnomenu doesnt start

hi guys,

just installed gnomenu... it worked, but then i changed the starticon (windows icon) and now i cant open the startmenu.

tried to reinstall gnomenu but when i try to start ---> The panel has a problem with loading »OAFIID:GNOME_GnoMenu«

pls help me!

Hi,
if an applet is being installed manually, without having ubuntu-desktop, it needs the package gnome-applets.
Otherwise the error message above appears.
So, please check if ubuntu-desktop is installed, check if gnome-applets is installed.

#To regenerate the icon cache in case icons are missing
sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor

#To repair the panel
gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/panel
pkill gnome-panel
