no weather and temperature shown in the panel

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 and have checked the "show weather" and "show temperature" in the clock preference setting window, but they do not show in the panel, how can this be fixed?

I add the the location in "Clock Preferences" as I did in 8.04 and 7.10, but I only got this problem in 8.10, it is really weird.

I had this problem some days ago after remove some fonts packages, I solve it reinstalling fonts (I do not remember which fonts package)

Just like I said in my first post, I input the location 22.98 (North) and 120.19 (East) in the Clock Preference, and it did show the weather and temperature in Ubuntu 7.04, 7.10 and 8.04, I only got this problem in Ubuntu 8.10, isn't it a bug?

The weather and temperature are only shown when I choose a default location.
