Picture folder screensaver?

Asked by guidemeintheeyesofblindness@yahoo.com

I am running xubuntu and really like it.

When I set the screensaver to "Pictures folder" it flashes photos that are not in my pictures folder.

I got no damn idea where the photos are coming from. Some of them are from different places on my pc but some of them are coming off the internet and I sure as hell did not put them there.

What the hell is going on?

How do I make it display the pics in my pic folder and not the bizarre mix it's getting from who knows where?

What version of Xubuntu are you using?

It sounds like you are using the GLSlideshow screensaver in the xscreensaver application. If that is correct, go to Applications > Settings > Screensaver, and then click on the Advanced tab. (If there is no Advanced tab, then you are probably using the Gnome Screensaver application.)

If you are able to click on the Advanced tab, go to the Image Manipulation section, change the path of the images to the directory that contains the images you want to use.

I hope this helps!
