Where can i find libssl 0.9.6

I m trying to install yahoo messenger & it is asking for libssl 0.9.6. I found that i have libssl 0.9.8. How can i proceed....

I m in need of ur help....

The repositories only contain versions 0.9.7 and 0.9.8. I´m not sure if the new versions are compatible.

Have you tried using the Yahoo client is Pidgin Instant Messenger. Open Pidgin from the menu Applications-> Internet-> Pidgin Instant Messaging.

You can easily create a Yahoo account.

I need yahoo messenger for using my webcam. I m using Pidgin but i cannot use my webcam with it. Thats y i badly need yahoo messenger.....thnx 4 answering me

I actually opened a new question since i can specify the exact reason why i need libssl0.9.6 & got answer that i can use Kopete. Another reason is i thought this questions attention is lost as it passed more than two days. Sorry for leaving this question open.
