Ok

I installed new Ubuntu 8.04 on my eee pc and now vmc 2 beta 3 works.
It's important that the usb stick is connectet to the pc BEFORE boot up, otherwise vmc refuses to connect complaining laks of serial ports to connect.

If someone can explain this whould be perfect.
Anyway, with the new dustro I solved and got the connection.

On ubuntu 8.10, huawei k3715 stick works. Rightclick on the networking icon on the taskbar and click on Edit connections. Then just select your provider. My only worry is the stick gets quite hot.
