can i order ubuntu 8.10 cds for free

i asked this question before but i want to confirm once again that i ordered ubuntu 8.04 cd before. can i order the ubuntu 8.10 desktop edition for free? can i get a manual on how to work with ubuntu also for free? what are the minimum requirements for installing ubuntu 8.10?

Regarding guides for ubuntu, I don´t really know of any good ones since ubuntu changes every six months. There are a lot of web resources you can find by google search. I also suggest reading the ubuntu community documents, visiting ubuntu forums, wikipages, ubuntugeek.

if you have working internet connection it is better to upgrade the system with update managerand use netherlands first server for ubuntu 8.10 downloading and installing because that server goes really fast about 250 kbps on a 2 Mbps line. and installation is automatic you donot have to fiddle much with it, as it is upgrading so your previous settings will remain same.
