need print drivers

I have a Brother MFC-440CN Network printer. It's recognized but unable to print a test page. It seems that the only drivers available were "Make and Model: Generic text-only printer"

Any advice?

there are drivers for brother printer in the repositories. Use synaptic to install them. Plus there is an entry about a brother printer 420CN in the community docs:

It was not a quick fix....Better for me being that I'm a complete newbi to Ubuntu....But! I am tech savy and thank for putting me on the path. I have found all the drivers and FAQ on this printer thanks to you and expect resolve this week :)

The printer shows communication over the network but not printing test pages yet.

It's a good start!
