Wireless card not working with SSID broadcast disabled

Asked by buruburus

Hi , I'm using Ubuntu 8.10. I have a wireless router Linksys wrt54g and a Broadcom BCM4312 integrated wlan. I have the SSID broadcast disabled , and i 've configured the settings in the network manager.
I could not connect it to the router . It kept asking me to re-enter the password.
Apparently , when i switch the SSID of the router to be visible, the problem if fix .
I would like to keep my SSID invisible.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Have you tried the option Connect to Hidden Wireless Network?
