Hi,

I just checked out this link: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/39633

It says that the Huawei E169 should work out of the box using the NetworkManager applet in Intrepid Ibex. Please try configuring the 3G network connection using the NetworkManager applet.

Regards,

Mark

Hello Mark having pressed the Open autorun prompt a box appears to say This medium contains software intended to be automatically started. Would you like to run it?
The software will run directly from the medium "Mobile Connect". You should never run software that you don't trust.
Having pressed Yes!
it says error"
cannot find the autorun program.

In the mobile connect folder there are files such as "Document"s "Driver" "Mobile connect card" "Autorun.exe""Autorun.inf" "Datacard _Setup.exe" "Datacard_Setup64.exe" "readme_ english text" "Reset Device.exe"
"Signal.ico" "SysConfig.dat
I am a beginner in the things of linux but with everyones help I am learning along the way!

Thanks
John

Hi,

Under NetworkManager, right click the icon, go to Edit Connections > Mobile Broadband, then either edit the existing connection or create a new one. Enter the relevant info, and it should work.

Also check out this link: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=969108&highlight=umtsmon

If that doesn't work, I am afraid I cannot be of any further help.

Regards,

Mark
